AI Assistant for Your Website and Documents

Most companies wrote down the answers to their common questions long ago — on the website, in manuals, in the price list, in internal policies. Nobody finds them there. A customer asks support something the third paragraph of a guide already answers, and a new colleague asks about what sits in a shared folder.

I integrate AI into your Drupal website so that it answers from your own texts. The assistant knows only what you give it, and every answer says where it came from.

What can be built

AI search on the website

A visitor types a question in plain language and gets an answer with links to the pages it is based on. The search works by meaning, not by exact word match, so “how long does shipping take” also finds the page titled “delivery times”.

AI assistant over the website

A chat on the website that knows your content — products, services, guides, terms and conditions. It handles routine questions itself and hands the rest to a person, together with what the customer has already written.

AI over documents

Manuals, contracts, policies, data sheets and the internal wiki in one place where you can ask. The answer comes with a citation of the specific document, so it can be checked.

Company chat and knowledge base

An internal assistant for your people: procedures, operational information, answers for onboarding new colleagues. Access to documents follows permissions — the assistant tells nobody more than they are allowed to see.

How AI integration into a website works

  1. Content — we go through what the assistant should draw on and what it should not.
  2. Knowledge base for AI — texts from Drupal and from documents are processed so they can be searched by meaning. When content changes, they update on their own.
  3. Trial run — the assistant runs over your data, and a set of real questions shows how it answers.
  4. Deployment — to your website, intranet or own server, with answer quality and costs measured.

Your data stays yours

The knowledge base runs on a server you choose — your own VPS included. The language model is picked by how sensitive the content is: a cloud one, or a local one that sends no data outside the company. What the assistant cannot find in your texts, it does not answer.

Technical details

This page describes what AI does on a website and inside a company. How the solution is built — RAG, vector databases, AI agents, protection against prompt injection — is on the GenAI, Chatbots & Agents page. An example from production is the AI helpers for content management project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the website have to run on Drupal?
Drupal is the system I have worked with for 15 years, and the assistant connects to it directly, content and permissions included. Documents outside the website — PDFs, shared folders, a wiki — are connected alongside it.

Will the AI make things up?
The assistant answers only from the texts it was given and cites the source. When the answer is not there, it says so.

What happens when the website content changes?
The knowledge base updates when a page or document is saved. The assistant does not work with an old version.

Can we start with only part of the content?
Yes. It usually starts with one area — guides or product documentation, for example — and more is added once it is proven in operation.
